Bristlecone Sculpture by Grant Morris

From: Intemann Gallery at the MAC

28′ H 21 W 10 D

Impressive bristlecone pine sculpture, shaped by the elements over time. I collected the wood at an extreme location, west of Manitou Springs, Colorado, at about 11,800 ft (top of the tree line). The fallen tree I collected this from was easily over 1000 yrs old. The color of the wood is natural, with mineral oil used to bring out the natural color. The base is also bristlecone pine. You may find an animal or two within this art piece. This piece of art weights 22 lbs.
