**Free Cheese Tastings**

Yes!! That’s right…A Cheese Shop in an Art Gallery. In 2016, Cari Thomason (Cheese Monger and Specialist) began a joint venture with Sharon in creating The Cheese Shop at Cherokee’s. With the idea of having Colorado centric Gourmet Food items, the shop was born. The Cheese Shop has thrived and grown over the years, and you will find American Cheese Society winners, Good Food Awards winners, and World Cheese Championship cheeses and products. We want to give a big Manitou welcome to anyone who comes in, so just ask for a free cheese tasting and we would love to share some of the amazing product we have found over the years! Sharon and Cari have dedicated themselves to finding the best for their customers by visiting the Dairies and Cheesemakers, attending cheese conferences and lectures, and researching the products that they carry. The Cheese Shop adds delicious, delight to shopping – especially for foodies.

Why
Manitou Springs?

Big Blue
Big Blue

Manitou Springs is a historical and picturesque town located at the base of Pike’s Peak. The town has an active creative arts district and public art program that is community supported. The abundant wildlife, gentle climate and active art scene draw visitors to our town. The backdrop scenery is uplifting to the spirit and is the playground for our clients and ourselves. Cherokee’s is located directly across the street from the Manitou Chamber of Commerce.  Look For the BIG BLUE ELK.

On a Personal Note…

We are an Air Force and joint military family.  Our sons have experienced the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan Wars as soldiers. Having a child fighting in a war causes extreme stress. Painting soothed my soul. The loss of their comrades in battle began Sharon’s journey painting  the every day life of our American soldiers.  Be sure to visit the upstairs gallery at Cherokee’s.
