Managing a business during COVID-19 is incredibly stressful, and we want to make sure our business community knows they have ecommerce and skill-building support. We set out to curate quick, useful videos and conversations that get right to the heart of what’s important to know right now.
Developed by the Manitou Made team and led by project specialist Maria Navaratne, the manitoumade.com/learning system is an online resource with classes curated statewide and through regional partnerships. Coursework sources include the Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center, original webinars from local entrepreneurs experienced in pivoting response and strategic thinking, and digital marketing classes presented by Lynda.com, free with a PPLD library card. In addition, the Learning Community has gathered resources to promote the well-being of its members, including UCCS’s GRIT-LEAD training, and free access to Silvercloud, a clinically-proven online platform with programs to help reduce symptoms of stress, improve sleep and build resilience.
The Manitou Made multi-vendor website is coming in mid-November 2020 to promote Manitou Springs businesses, creatives, and culture online. Manitoumade.com will prominently feature locally-made items that are crafted, designed, prepared, source, brewed, or experienced only in the greater Manitou Springs region.
Manitoumade.com is funded by CARES Act Relief Fund dollars through El Paso County and is presented in partnership through the Manitou Springs Creative District and the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureau & Office of Economic Development.
