As one of the original “Frozen Five” founding members of the AdAmAn Club, Fred Barr holds an iconic place in the eyes of the club members. Each year, we and thousands of runners and hikers enjoy his trail up Pikes Peak.

As an entrepreneur, his trail building efforts not only benefited him financially, but have paid dividends to the citizens of Colorado Springs ever since and will continue to do so for years to come. The j=hikers and runners who come to the area to climb Pikes Peak and/or run in the Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon, along with their supporting family and friends, inject significant funds into the local economy. Aside from Spencer Penrose, it’s hard to think of anyone else who has had a larger and longer lasting impact in our community.
